Business Objects, the world`s leading provider of business intelligence (BI), announces today that it has named Gary Broomberg as country manager, responsible for SA.
In this position, Broomberg will focus on expanding and strengthening the company`s presence and momentum in SA and English-speaking Africa, where Business Objects has strong local representation through partnerships with resellers, systems integrators and strategic alliances to cover the English-speaking African market.
Broomberg reports to Thierry Nicault, regional director for EEMEA, and is based in the company`s Johannesburg office.

Broomberg (43) joins Business Objects with more than 15 years of experience in high technology sales and executive management in SA and the English-speaking Africa market. Most recently, Broomberg was sales director for the South African operations at Novell. Prior to that, Broomberg served as e-business director at Foster-Melliar. He also worked for Atio Corporation as regional director, and was responsible for the Information Management division. He is currently busy completing his Masters degree in Chartered Marketing from MFSA.
