Business Objects, the world`s leading provider of integrated enterprise decision support tools, has sold its one-millionth license of business intelligence software for helping companies access, analyse, and share information. A customer purchase of 1 000 licenses of WebIntelligence, Business Objects` thin-client solution for web-based decision support, helped the company achieve the one-million license milestone during the fourth quarter of 1998.
The customer, a major US telecommunications provider and current user of BusinessObjects` PeopleSoft HRMS system, has been notified and will receive a special award.
"Our success over the past decade has been fueled by meeting and exceeding our customers` demand for enterprise deployable business intelligence solutions," said Coral de Villiers, marketing coordinator for Business Objects at sole SA distributor, USKO Software.
She added that breaking through the one million license level is a great achievement and an important milestone in Business Objects` history.
