Following an announcement by Business Objects and MapInfo Corporation on their strategic alliance, respective South African partners Bytes Business Solutions and Spatial Technologies have also confirmed their alliance for the local market.
Bytes Business Solutions and Spatial Technologies will now proactively promote the solutions that are made available through the strategic alliance.
Already - and as part of the alliance - MapInfo`s MapXtreme mapping technology has been integrated with Business Objects` business intelligence portal, InfoView.
This integration will now enable companies to collect and consolidate their business intelligence (BI) information and present it as a personalised view to users both inside and outside of the organisation. It also adds location functionality to the reporting capabilities of InfoView.

He adds that the integration of MapInfo`s MapXtreme technology with Business Objects` InfoView provides added insight into complex business questions, enabling companies to get more from their critical data.
