Bytes calls upon potential Centennial Software reseller partners

Johannesburg, 28 Mar 2007

Bytes Systems Integration (Bytes) has implemented a new channel strategy and is recruiting resellers for its Centennial Software business.

The JSE-listed giant is the sole African distributor for the multinational software company Centennial Software, and is looking to leverage the infrastructure and sales force of strategic partners.

Centennial has a number of software offerings, and solutions that cover the areas of IT audit and inventory, network and endpoint security, ISO 19770-1, software asset management (SAM), SMS enhancement and ITIL.

Centennial Software has over five million licences of its IT asset management and discovery solution, Centennial Discovery, which are sold to blue-chip organisations around the world, and the Centennial Devicewall product set is one of the most recognised in its field of network endpoint security. The company has sales offices in the US, UK and Australia.

Says Shaun Girdhari, Centennial Partner Manager at Bytes: "Software asset management is a growing concern to companies that need to ensure they keep stock of burgeoning IT costs. The Centennial Discovery solution set is aimed at providing an enterprise with a full view of its technology assets, assist it with managing the costs associated, and give it the ability to highlight potential licensing problem areas before they become an issue.

"On the other hand, the Centennial Devicewall Endpoint Security solution is aimed at assisting companies stop identity theft, data loss and spyware propagation by managing portable devices on the network."

Bytes has always worked with partners when taking the Centennial solutions to market, and is developing a channel strategy to better align new and existing resellers. The partner net will be broken down into member partners as well as authorised and gold partners, with optimal training, margins and support associated to each level.

Girdhari says Bytes will provide partners with as much support as is necessary, and will open the doors to customers by way of lead generation, existing relationships with clients, as well as a specialised channel marketing strategy.

"Based on the nature of our relationship with Centennial, we are tasked with growing the partner channel in South Africa, and giving the partners the right tools in order to make a success of supporting the solutions."

Centennial works with partners in all countries where it does not have a sales office. Its extensive partner network means its solutions are sold and supported in all major markets worldwide. Centennial solutions are available in English, French, German and Spanish versions.

"Whether your clients need to respond quickly to an audit demand, initiate an ISO 19770-1 SAM project or simply assist CIOs in better understanding their exact IT needs, the Centennial Software solutions, Discovery and Devicewall, will enable your clients to quickly establish, and then maintain, an up to date view of the software deployment across their network, as well as improve security and reduce the potential risk outside communications pose to their organisation," ends Girdhari.
