Communications specialist, Bytes Communication Systems (BCS), has announced the appointment of its new managing director, George Isaacson.
With more than 30 years experience in the information and communications technology (ICT) industry, Isaacson has held positions in management, marketing and sales, and brings a wealth of strategic, operational and management skills to the Bytes company.
Isaacson`s appointment is with immediate effect and he will be tasked with the management of the organisation, as well as growing the business in and around the technology and communications space, with keen emphasis on defining new markets and exploring new business opportunities.
Bytes Communications Systems, formerly Alcatel Business Systems, is a member of the listed Bytes Technology Group, a member of the Altron Group of companies. It is a strategic partner of the French communications company Alcatel and provides products and services ranging from VOIP, unified communications, contact centres right through to simple PABX offerings and cabling solutions.
Says Isaacson: "I am feeling stimulated and challenged in respect of my new position and believe that I can bring a fresh set of ideas and concepts to BCS, which itself is positioned in one of the most exciting verticals within the ICT industry, that being communications.

It is critical that we react quickly within this window period of opportunity and take these skills to the market, through our present proven methods as well as new approaches.
Isaacson is a member of the South African Institute of Management, a member of the Association of Service Management International and a Wits Business School Alumni.
