At its recent partner rendezvous, the global leader in converged communications, Alcatel-Lucent, awarded premier partner Bytes Communications certificates of recognition and excellence for its customer achievements over the last year.
The awards included a certificate of recognition of excellence awarded to Doug Boshoff for best converged solutions for hospitality as a result of his and the company's work within this sector to date, as well as to Leon van Vuuren for his success on the provision of a converged communications system to the whole of the University of Johannesburg and its campuses.
The hospitality portfolio developed by Bytes Communications has been designed to address the individual needs of hotel guests, the management and staff, by providing professional services ensuring revenue generation, operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. In offering these services, Bytes Communications has been able to secure the business of various well-known hotel groups throughout the country.
“We have tailored a customised solution for the hospitality sector for some time now, that can meet the demanding needs of this industry,” states Andrew Holden, managing director of Bytes Communications. “It is rewarding to be recognised by Alcatel-Lucent for these efforts, and our success is now not only reflected by the growing number of hospitality clients we have managed to secure, but also by the acknowledgement we have received from our global technology partner Alcatel-Lucent.”
The University of Johannesburg award was given as a result of Bytes Communications providing the tertiary institution with a common platform that would integrate its geographically dispersed communications environment. The project resulted in the delivery of a wall-to-wall Alcatel-Lucent communication solution that now provides seamless integration, end-to-end voice and data capabilities, streamlines call flow, and enables the delivery of rich multimedia online education content.
“I am very proud of the work the team has done across the board. The fact that we have been recognised as a result of successful implementations makes the significance of these accolades that much more important,” ends Holden.
