Bytes Document Solutions (BDS), Africa's leading document management technology and solutions company and the largest Xerox distributor in the world, has appointed Charl Vogel as national sales manager, production systems group (PSG) for Xerox's direct sales organisation.
Vogel has over 21 years' of industry experience, which has equipped him with a broad range of professional skills and life experiences that have given him a unique perspective on people, business and business management. Prior to joining PSG Direct in March 2013, Vogel was the head of production printing direct for Nashua. He has also occupied several varied management roles during his earlier 17-year tenure at Konica Minolta South Africa.
Vogel's role in PSG will include marketing and deployment of Xerox's industry leading solution service offering and execution with a specific "customer first" focus on the commercial print, graphic arts, print-for-pay and high-volume digital print market segments.
He will also be responsible for the implementation and control of the national sales strategy where he and Xerox's team of account managers, product specialists and sales managers will work closely with customers to develop exciting new print applications and powerful multi-channel communication services.
Vogel has, to his credit, training in disciplines of sales and business management, customer relationship management, coaching and people development, and is an accredited and certified trainer.
Vogel is a high-achieving, diligent individual with exceptional interpersonal skills and sound business acumen. He has great respect for others and believes that one should "treat others the same way that you expect to be treated". He believes humility is a skill everyone should possess and that a big part of leadership involves service to others.

Vogel also brings a unique set of skills and attributes to Bytes Document Solutions, which will help the PSG Direct team to achieve greater penetration into the conventional print market.
