Bytes Document Solutions, authorised Xerox distributor to 24 sub-Saharan countries, will demonstrate 12 of its top products at Print Expo 2009 at Nasrec, in Hall 7, from 20 to 23 October.
The products include a mix of digital presses, dynamic publishing software, production floor management system and productivity tools for the photofinishing market, and tools and programs designed to maximise digital printing equipment investment.
“We're going to demonstrate a wide range of our digital production presses at the show, along with the software tools and consulting services that constitute the New Business of Printing,” says Paul Haglich, marketing manager of the Production Systems Group at Bytes Document Solutions.
“This evolving methodology and toolset for printers assists with the deployment of new digital presses alongside the traditional litho equipment and helps adapt their business workflows and processes to generate new revenue streams. Our intent is to address the challenges facing print providers at Print Expo 2009 with the right mix of innovation, proven hardware technology, software and services to assist print-for-pay businesses to grow during these tough times.”
The Bytes Document Solutions Xerox booth, one of the largest at Print Expo 2009, will showcase current and forthcoming technologies in dual-engine presses, continuous feed and wide-format hardware and software applications.
On display will be the DocuColor 5000AP, X700 Digital Colour Press, DocuColor 260, 495 Continuous Feed duplex printer, Nuvera 288, 4112 Copier Printer Pro and wide format printers: including the Epson 11880, Epson 9880 and Xerox 6204. Bytes Document Solutions will also announce the DocuColor 8002 with a number of features, including the new low gloss toner, automated colour workflow, in-line spectrophotometer, and the expanded in-line finishing options.
The software line-up will include Xerox's XMPie, which will demonstrate, through a blockbuster-style movie event, the meaning of personalised cross-media marketing and the value of media and marketing integration. There will also be senior marketing representatives from Xerox international on the stand providing an opportunity for Print Expo visitors to meet them and get an insight on Xerox developments.
M-Photo's MD, Rami Krispin, will demonstrate his company's comprehensive, vendor-independent, production floor management system and productivity tools for the photo finishing market.
Bytes Document Solutions will also demonstrate Xerox's ProfitAccelerator to attendees and how print shops can harness it for building profitable relationships with their existing and new customer bases.
“We will be presenting and demonstrating the new business of printing,” says Haglich. “Digital printing typically sees a reversal of their traditional processes because printers are now receiving many more smaller jobs that demand quicker turnaround times - with customers often waiting while the job is completed - smart printers don't want to spend hours preparing material, finishing and delivering jobs that may only take a few minutes to print digitally.
“We also want to show how to be able to take advantage of the virtual store-front that the Web offers so print businesses can receive jobs, create and present quotes and offer job-tracking via a Web interface without manual intervention, and in so doing maintain a 24x7 print operation seamlessly.”
