JSE-listed ICT services company Bytes Technology Group has made changes to its executive team.
The company yesterday told shareholders it had appointed a new non-executive director, and one non-executive director had moved to an executive position.
Douglas Ramaphosa is to become an executive director with effect from 1 March. Ramaphosa, currently a non-executive director, will take up the position as MD of the group's Specialised Solutions division.
He has an MA in social science has been group executive of corporate affairs at its parent company, Altron. In a separate announcement, Altron says Ramaphosa is to resign as an alternate director to take up his new position. Before joining Altron, he was executive director for public affairs at Anglo American, and was responsible for media relations, investor relations, government relations, transformations, corporate social responsibility and black economic empowerment.
Ramaphosa is co-chairman of the National Business Initiative and a member of Business Leadership SA and the International Association of Business Communicators.
Bytes also says it has appointed Keitumetse Matthews as a non-executive director as from this month.
