Bytes roadshow kicks off in Jo'burg

Johannesburg, 30 Apr 2008

Bytes Communication Systems will be launching its new business strategy, "Giving U The Competitive Edge", to customers at a series of national roadshows. The first of these will kick off at Montecasino in Johannesburg on 16 May 2008.

The day will be focused on providing customers, agents and partners with a view into the company's new value vision going forward, covering key business issues such as employee efficiency, customer satisfaction and smart operations.

Says Richard Menton, Product Development Manager at Bytes Communication Systems: "The roadshow is designed to help us connect with our customers and partners, and we will be doing this by demonstrating to customers our vast range of business solutions, methodologies as well as products to enable this, and then walking them through key converged communication solutions in an interactive environment."

The focus is all about showing organisations how to revolutionise the way they do business through the latest in communications technology. At the event, hands-on demonstrations will also be given throughout the day, covering various aspects such as secured networks, unified communications, converged communications and contact centres.

The keynote address will be given by Jan Zuurbier, vice-president of Alcatel-Lucent Emerging Markets, who will focus on moving towards the dynamic enterprise, and how interconnecting people, infrastructure, processes and knowledge, ultimately beating latency, will enable businesses to tap into their greatest resource - the collective knowledge of its people.

The event will also showcase the range of products, services, support and advice that customers can harness through strategic partnerships with Bytes Communication Systems.

"Our new business strategy is geared towards providing customers with greater value, by ensuring that what we deliver not only matches their business needs exactly, but provides them with a key differentiator from their competitors," says George Isaacson, Managing Director at Bytes Communication Systems. "With this in mind, we will provide the tools and support our customers need to get the competitive edge.

"Our aim is to unlock value through a consultative approach, rather than simply providing a software or hardware solution and not following this up with support and service. We believe that by attending this event, customers will be able to leave armed with a better understanding of what communication technology they will need to take them into the future," he concludes.

The second leg of the roadshow will be hosted in Cape Town at the V&A Waterfront on 23 May 2008, and the final leg will be held in Durban at the Hilton Hotel on 6 June 2008.
