Bytes signs exclusive distribution agreement with KXEN

Altron Group company, Bytes Business Solutions (Bytes), has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with KXEN (Knowledge Extraction Engines), a US-based software vendor that provides predictive and descriptive analytic software.

Bytes will market KXEN`s suite of predictive analytic tools in SA and Mauritius, providing its clients with critical tools to help them identify previously undiscovered trends to achieve cost reductions, generate new revenue streams and increase return on investment.

Bytes` CRM product manager, Mark Neethling, says the KXEN Analytic Framework is a robust and quality product that is well suited to the Bytes portfolio.

"As a cost-effective alternative, it provides a greater number of businesses with access to the most advanced analytic technology, and places the latest data mining technology within easy reach of business decision-makers - rather than just the specialist statistician.

"With KXEN, our objective will be to give all our customers the ability to make the best use of existing human resources and better predict, manage and influence their markets through a greater understanding of the information contained in their corporate databases," he says.

"Since the 1970s there has been a huge explosion of data in most organisations. This has made traditional data mining and analytical online application processing [OLAP] tools cumbersome to use.

"Moreover, these systems, which are unlikely to be fully integrated into an organisation`s business systems, require highly skilled professionals to gain the most from them, and results are often very slow in being realised."

Neethling says KXEN changes this.
