Altron Group company, Bytes Business Solutions (Bytes), has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with KXEN (Knowledge Extraction Engines), a US-based software vendor that provides predictive and descriptive analytic software.
Bytes will market KXEN`s suite of predictive analytic tools in SA and Mauritius, providing its clients with critical tools to help them identify previously undiscovered trends to achieve cost reductions, generate new revenue streams and increase return on investment.
Bytes` CRM product manager, Mark Neethling, says the KXEN Analytic Framework is a robust and quality product that is well suited to the Bytes portfolio.
"As a cost-effective alternative, it provides a greater number of businesses with access to the most advanced analytic technology, and places the latest data mining technology within easy reach of business decision-makers - rather than just the specialist statistician.
"With KXEN, our objective will be to give all our customers the ability to make the best use of existing human resources and better predict, manage and influence their markets through a greater understanding of the information contained in their corporate databases," he says.
"Since the 1970s there has been a huge explosion of data in most organisations. This has made traditional data mining and analytical online application processing [OLAP] tools cumbersome to use.
"Moreover, these systems, which are unlikely to be fully integrated into an organisation`s business systems, require highly skilled professionals to gain the most from them, and results are often very slow in being realised."
Neethling says KXEN changes this. "KXEN`s patented, predictive and descriptive modelling engines are based upon scientist Vladimir Vapnik`s breakthrough statistical learning theory which forms a framework for structured risk minimization. This allows for the best balance between quality and reliability of results.
"In addition, KXEN solutions prepare analytical models `on the fly` as part of an automated preparation process, saving significant amounts of time. Models can be built and deployed in minutes rather than weeks. And it has created an ideal environment for modelling high volumes of data and many thousands of variable inputs as easily and quickly as possible - while maintaining relevant and readily interpretable results."
KXEN allows users to access many data source formats and generate descriptive and predictive models extremely quickly. They are also designed for embedding in existing enterprise applications and business processes.
"With KXEN components integrated into the business processes and applications, even non-skilled users can instantly transform data into knowledge and assist their organisations to make immediate strategic and operational decisions, which allow them to take advantage of new business opportunities and changing business environments," Neethling adds.
KXEN (Knowledge eXtraction eNgines) is a global software company that provides advanced analytics for business decision-makers and data mining professionals. KXEN`s powerful modelling technology transforms data quickly and easily into knowledge, resulting in better everyday business decisions. KXEN partners with leading systems integrators and original equipment manufacturers to integrate analytic software components into enterprise applications and business processes.
KXEN offers a state-of-the-art suite of predictive and descriptive modelling engines for scoring, classification and clustering, based on Vapnik`s Statistical Learning Theory. KXEN is headquartered in San Francisco, CA, with Research and Development facilities in Paris, France and additional offices throughout the US and Europe.
