Bytes Systems Integration partners with Axis to deliver security integrity solutions

Johannesburg, 27 Sep 2007

Bytes Systems Integration (Bytes SI), trusted advisor of fully integrated and managed information technology (IT) business solutions and services, has announced a newly signed deal with Axis Communications South Africa, the local division of the global market leader in network IP video.

In terms of this deal, Bytes SI will partner with Axis to become a reseller of its range of security products.

Says Dave Hunter, Divisional Managing Director of Bytes SI Kronos division: "The decision to become an Axis solutions partner was made as these global IP network video solutions will enable us to provide top security for the server room or any other high security area. This further extends our existing offering of true end-to-end IT solutions."

By incorporating network IP video surveillance solutions into its product offering, Bytes SI can provide clients with 'smart building' capability, where time and attendance, security and labour management is all networked for greater ease of use and productivity.

Mark Freer, Business Development Consultant, Kronos at Bytes SI, comments: "The Axis product range will enable us to ensure the security integrity of data as well as access. This is an important factor, as it is often the department where much of the client information is stored, and is therefore highly classified and sensitive to security breaches."

Adds Jason McGregor, Key Account Manager at Axis Communications South Africa: "Axis can provide Bytes SI with the very latest in the state of the art IP network surveillance cameras, allowing for real-time monitoring and access control with video verification. In turn, this broadens the idea of corporate IT management."

Axis has a wide range of high quality network cameras for securing people and property, remotely monitoring equipment and facilities, and for sending live images and sounds for remote learning, troubleshooting or Web broadcasting. This includes a selection of Megapixel and WiFi digital surveillance cameras.

"Merging security with IT enables organisations to take advantage of advanced technology when it comes to safeguarding the data network and electronic storage," comments Roy Alves, Country Manager for Axis Communications South Africa. "It is becoming increasingly imperative for corporates to understand that security is crucial and that it forms a vital part of the network. Through our partnership with Bytes we hope to help organisations achieve this."

Hunter concludes: "Bytes SI prides itself in providing world-class solutions that provide a guaranteed return on investment to our clients. We look forward to a long and mutually prosperous partnership with Axis."
