For the fourth consecutive year, VARBusiness magazine has awarded Computer Associates International, Inc its highest honour, a five-star rating for its outstanding and innovative channel partner programmes.
VARBusiness also named Gary Quinn, CA`s executive vice-president of partner advocacy, as one of the Top 75 Channel Executives. This elite list recognises executives who demonstrate a long-term commitment to the channel, possess a strong connection to corporate leaders, serve as a channel evangelist inside their organisation and demonstrate innovative channel-management strategies.
This year`s five-star distinction recognizes vendors committed to the channel. Among other things, it takes into account the volume of business generated through partners, the number of solution provider partners that vendors engage, and the amount of money vendors invest in their programmes.
"CA is dedicated to the continual enhancement of our channel programmes and to providing our channel partners with the resources they need to succeed in an increasingly challenging and complex marketplace," said Quinn. "This award provides objective validation of our performance over the past year and clearly demonstrates that CA is meeting the needs of resellers, integrators and consultants."
In January, CA launched an enhanced Enterprise Solution Provider (ESP) partner programme with expanded training and certification resources, new lead referral programmes, 24x7 technical support and a dedicated field-based Partner Advocate Manager to help create comprehensive business plans, marketing and sales initiatives.
