CA Global Professional Services introduces Remote Deployment Services for CA`s workgroup, Advanced and Enterprise Edition products

State-of-the Art Service, available exclusively through authorized CA resellers, reduces project implementation time while accelerating ROI
Johannesburg, 02 Jul 1999

Computer Associates Global Professional Services (GPS) has announced Remote Deployment Services for CA`s Workgroup, Advanced and Enterprise Edition products that greatly reduces project implementation time while accelerating return on technology investment.

Available exclusively through authorized CA resellers, Remote Deployment Services offers the same high-quality GPS implementation consulting expertise as traditional services. This results in an accelerated software rollout without the expense of travel and on-site consulting.

Remote Deployment Services is a component of GPS`s unique Accelerated Delivery methodology, which streamlines the introduction of new technologies into existing IT environments.

"The ability to quickly roll out applications has become increasingly crucial to technology-dependent organizations operating on a global basis," said Andre van den Berg, manager for GPS at CA Africa. "Through Remote Deployment Services, CA`s reseller partners can help their clients respond more rapidly to constantly changing business conditions and operational requirements, resulting in faster installation time and reduced IT costs."

As with an on-site deployment, Remote Deployment Services provides all of the project management, planning and implementation materials to help ensure an effective rollout. Beginning with a comprehensive teleconferenced evaluation, implementation consultants guide clients through a project`s planning stages. After successful connectivity testing, the software is installed throughout the client`s network using CA remote control and software deployment technologies.

Remote Deployment Services are designed for small to large organizations performing worldwide network installation rollouts of CA`s Workgroup, Advanced and Enterprise Edition products. These products consist of state-of-the-art solutions for specific management areas, including e-commerce, security, software distribution, help desk, asset management, storage, communications, remote control, and databases.

"With the introduction of Remote Deployment Services, CA has effectively packaged a method of delivering high-value best-in-class practices into client organizations with global reach and a compressed timeline," said Steve McHale, an analyst at International Data Corporation. "With human resources becoming an increasingly constraining factor in enterprise technology roll-outs, corporate customers should find such service very attractive."

CA distributors are equally enthusiastic about Remote Deployment Services. GPS offers a broad spectrum of IT services in dozens of disciplines. These include infrastructure management, application development and integration, Y2K compliance services, asset management, deskside support and end-user productivity. Services range from consulting to implementation, to comprehensive outsourcing and facilities management. GPS is headquartered in Islandia, N.Y., and has offices in North and South America, Europe and the Far East. For more information on GPS, visit www.cai.com/gps/.
