The role of social media in enterprise applications has become a hot topic - specifically how to actually utilise and effectively integrate it into the enterprise space.
So says CA Southern Africa MD, Gary Lawrence, in speaking about the agenda for the CA IT Management Symposium, which CA SA and its partners, in collaboration with ITWeb, will again host in September.
“Cloud is also a major issue at the moment, so we will have a strong focus on cloud trends and technologies,” says Lawrence.
Andrea Lodolo, operations manager and CTO of CA SA, says service virtualisation has emerged as a major focal point. “We believe this is probably one of the most revolutionary technologies delivering a major ROI to customers,” he says.
While the conference and expo will cover all major IT disciplines, it will have a strong focus on the biggest issues facing IT today, adds Lawrence.
The theme for this year's event is 'IT at the speed of business,' and it is aimed at large and medium-sized enterprises wanting to leverage IT for increased competitiveness.
The CA IT Management Symposium will take place at the Sandton Convention Centre on 4 September.
