CA Technologies CA World kicks off on Sunday, 21 April - Sir Richard Branson to deliver keynote address - 22 April

Johannesburg, 18 Apr 2013

On Monday 22 April, Sir Richard Branson will deliver his keynote address at 5pm Pacific time.

Please see below for a list of social media sites through which you can tap into the value of this global event.

1. Follow/connect to/subscribe to CA's official CA World social media channels, especially the @CAWorld13 Twitter account. CA is using these to give live updates now and during the event.

2. Join the CA World Gaggle group, an efficient way to tap into the event's most important content. The social media team sets up CA World-related posts in the platform, which you can then easily pass along to your followers.

3. Be mobile/social ready by downloading and setting up your favourite Twitter management app ahead of time. CA recommends Hootsuite and Twitter's native mobile app.

4. Download the CA World mobile app in the Google Play Store or iTunes App Store. In the app, you'll find links to CA's social channels, maps of the exhibition centre, links to sessions and much more.

5. Check your social media profiles, eg, bio, profile picture, etc, to make sure they are up to date as you head into the event and network with others. Are you looking for a quick refresher course in social media? Here are CA's SocialU training videos on YouTube.

6. Bookmark the #CAWorld hashtag Use the hashtag on Twitter when posting, making comments and asking questions before, during, and after the event. Include the hashtag on photos that you publish and Twitter Vines that you record. The Twitter buzz is already well under way and will peak 21-24 April. Be a part of the conversation.

7. Follow and engage with the event's speakers. CA has created a Twitter list of the CA World speakers to make this easy.

8. Celebrate the buzz surrounding Sir Richard Branson's keynote at CA World. Follow him on Twitter at @RichardBranson, subscribe to his LinkedIn blog, and tweet along during his CA World keynote on Monday, 22 April at 5pm Pacific.

9. Subscribe to CA's SlideShare channel for access to select slide presentations from the event as they get published.

10. Did you know that some of CA World's keynotes will be streamed live online? Watch for them at ca.com/caworld.

11. If you are at the event, be sure to stop by the "Social Media Hangout" located in the core area, just past registration. You'll get to connect with some of CA's social media team in person and see screens with the latest content, including event photos.

12. If you spot something on social media during the event which is of concern, eg, a customer complaint, please forward it by e-mail with a link and screenshot to socialmedia@ca.com. The social media team will be engaged on social channels as well as internal e-mail during the event.

13. And, most importantly, be present, and be yourself on social media. Listen, share, network, and connect with others that are a part of CA World online. Seize the opportunity. And remember to use social media responsibly. For more information on the company's electronic communications policy and social media guidelines, visit the social media home page on OneCA.
