CA Southern Africa has announced that Radix Technologies, an international managed service provider (MSP), has deployed the CA AppLogic turnkey cloud platform across the company's operations in Europe.
The MSP is delivering cloud services built on the CA AppLogic platform from its new tier four data centre in Switzerland. The data centre enables Radix Technologies to meet the growing global demand for private cloud services.
David Corriveau, CEO of Radix Technologies, explains: “Our customers want less complex solutions that enable them to provide end-to-end services for key business processes, not just virtual machines. Private clouds deliver scalable capacity, simplify management and enable self-service, all of which help us streamline operations and minimise costs.”
The CA AppLogic platform is simple to use and manage, allowing Radix Technologies to offer competitive solutions to customers while keeping operating costs low. Typically, when a customer requests a new service, Radix Technologies can assemble the entire business service in a matter of minutes, including supporting infrastructure, firewalls, load balancers, application servers, database servers and monitoring servers, with just a few clicks.
“Our developers can use the CA AppLogic platform on a customer site, without support from the systems administrator staff, to build and start completely new environments, transforming how we deliver solutions to our customers. This has opened up new opportunities and revenue streams by being able to accommodate our customers' changing requirements on demand,” says Corriveau.
Gary Lawrence, MD, CA Southern Africa, comments: “The CA AppLogic platform is a key component of our Business Service Innovation approach to helping organisations move from simply maintaining IT systems to delivering new, innovative services that help meet changing business demands. Using the platform, Radix Technologies is accelerating the real benefits of cloud computing for its customers - moving beyond cost savings to deliver increased business agility and reduced complexity. More importantly, the CA AppLogic platform has enabled Radix Technologies to expand its offerings and create competitive advantage around the globe.”
Radix Technologies was named CA AppLogic Partner of the Year for the Emerging Markets at the CA Technologies MSP Symposium, in February 2012. “This award was in recognition of Radix Technologies' technical capability, alongside its commitment to growth in the emerging markets. Radix has an operation in China, with 25 local employees serving more than 80 customers across Asia, demonstrating the company's ability and commitment to the global marketplace,” concludes Lawrence.
