CA wins at PPM summit

CA has won three awards for its CA Clarity PPM solution at the recent 2007 Gartner Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) Summit Europe, reports CPI Live.

The PPM Innovation Awards recognise technology and service providers for their solutions, programs, service and support, and design and delivery of presentations.

"These awards mean a great deal to us because they are based on the viewpoint of attending IT executives who understand the challenges of enterprise PPM better than anyone," said Kevin Naddaf, country manager of Gulf and Pakistan at CA.

Ness Tech awarded Prague project

Ness Technologies has been engaged by the Spatial Information Division of Prague Municipality to implement the Map of Prague (DMP) project, worth $6 million, says Directions Mag.

The project includes building a digital map of the Prague area to be used as the reference source for the division's geographical information systems, and flexible, operational digital map management to facilitate ongoing enhancement of quality and content.

DMP will simplify planning queries, supporting various authorities, and will benefit the Czech capital's citizens.

Workforce hires new consultants

Workforce Insight has hired two new workforce management consultants, Christa Dowty, and Jani Eager, according to PRWeb.

Dowty spent more than 10 years at a software company implementing workforce management technology initiatives at national and chains. She has also worked at a hotel chain as well as in the snow skiing industry.

"I attribute my strong customer service and project management skills to my diverse background," said Dowty. "Implementing a strategic workforce management solution and putting on a snowboarding event are similar in many ways. With both you have to be able to see the big picture, but it's the minute details that are critical to success."
