Call centres and e-commerce worlds converge at Call Centres Africa '99

Johannesburg, 01 Jul 1999

Today, more and more customers are bypassing the telephone and doing business across the Internet and other electronic channels. Successful businesses, therefore, need to be able to accept and respond to customer requests through any electronic medium if they hope to compete in today`s fast-paced e-commerce environment.

This is the message that Mr Lawrence Byrd, Vice President of Marketing at Quintus Corporation, will be conveying during his presentation at the Call Centres Africa '99 conference which starts on 6 July 1999.

"The call centre industry is in a period of tremendous transition as businesses struggle to embrace new ways of interacting with customers", says Alan Anderson, president and CEO of Quintus Corporation.

Quintus was one of the first companies to capitalise on the skyrocketing demand for end-to-end solutions for managing customer relationships across a variety of electronic media. Quintus brings together award-winning desktop applications, computer telephony integration, and interfaces to a range of electronic communications channels, including email and the Web.

One-on-One Call Centre Solutions, a division of Pin-Point Technologies is the South African partner for Quintus International. Quintus offers the eContact Suite, a unique product suite that enables call centres to route and manage customer relationships across a variety of communication channels, including Web, email, fax, and advanced telephony systems. One-on-One Call Centre Solutions will be exhibiting at the Call Centres Africa '99 exhibition.

Quintus`, Lawrence Byrd joins a host of high profile local and international speakers, including Kim Coe of TGA Communications (UK), Neil Berry of Apropos Technology Ltd, and Karl Campbell of BSW, at the Call Centres Africa '99 conference.

A few seats are still available at the conference, and persons needing further information should contact Jenne Morrison (011) 463 2802 jennem@aic-africa.com
