Call for better contract management

The US Treasury Department's inspector-general for tax administration (TIGTA) has called for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to increase the effectiveness of its contract management, reports Web CPA.

The department says the IRS needs to improve management oversight and training of less experienced contracting officer's technical representatives (COTRs).

The IRS disagreed with TIGTA's recommendation to amend employee evaluations to include contract management responsibilities for COTRs, citing technical difficulties in revising annual employee evaluation documents.

I-many gets new VP

Contract life cycle management software and services company, I-many, has appointed Brian Sterrett as vice-president of global channels and , states Earth Times.

Sterrett will be responsible for growing I-many's worldwide channel revenue and managing the company's strategic alliances.

Prior to joining I-many, Sterrett was vice-president of worldwide channels and partners at Lawson Software, a global ERP software company.

TrakSoft unveils contract management solution
