A Mexican fiesta and cheers of 'Arriba, Arriba' eloquently summed up the official introduction of Canon SA's new partner for large business scanners, Allscan Trading. The Mexican-themed evening, held on Thursday, 22 September 2011, in Kempton Park, Gauteng, provided a fitting setting for celebration as well as important information on how Allscan will operate within Canon's South African channel.
Allscan, a privately-owned distribution company headquartered in Kempton Park, specialises in providing the South African imaging industry with leading document scanner products and imaging software.
Prakash Naidoo, Business Solutions Product Manager at Canon SA, welcomed AllScan to the Canon family. “We believe Allscan will enhance our value-offering to the South African scanner marketplace. Our scanner product family forms an important part of our business locally, and partnering with a specialist company like Allscan will undoubtedly benefit our market penetration going forward,” said Naidoo.
Chris Botha, Managing Director of Allscan, and Eldaline Botha, Allscan Sales Director, provided guests with information on how Allscan will be looking after the Canon brand, new business ventures and important sales and customer information.
“Our dealer channel approach is based on strong, mutually beneficial partnerships underscored by a more informal approach such as tonight which offers the perfect platform for interaction while learning more about Canon's scanner product offering,” comments Botha.
“We believe in providing our dealer partners with the tools they need to competitively sell their products in the SA marketplace. Our approach to Canon will be no different and which we believe will benefit both the channel and Canon's business locally.”
The evening also saw Canon's scanner products and technologies on display. Allscan will be distributing Canon's business scanner range with immediate effect.
