Canon and official South African distributor, Rectron have introduced the Digital IXUSi range of cameras that feature a new contemporary look coupled with the latest digital technology.
Available in Platinum Silver, Piano Black, Classic Bronze and Pearl White, the IXUSi 5.7 x digital zoom and a 4.0 megapixel sensor enable detailed and accurate imaging.
"The Digital IXUSi may be small but it offers powerful functionality, building on Canon`s years of leadership in the digital technology space," comments Adel'e Oosthuizen, business manager: PC attachments at Rectron.
The IXUSi features artificial intelligence - by utilising the camera`s 5-point Artificial Intelligent Auto Focus (AiAF) system users can ensure that the subject is in focus, even it is off-centre in the viewfinder.
The IXUSi is also compliant with the direct printing technology, PictBridge, which means that users can print directly to any compatible printer.
Driving the Digital IXUSi`s powerful functionality is Canon`s DIGIC image processor technology. "As soon as the shutter is pressed it works at super high speeds to coordinate all the camera`s elements, ensuring brilliant images," she explains.
To ensure creative control, users can choose from the Auto, Manual, Macro, Long Shutter (for artistic scenes) or Stick Assist Mode options.
