Following the success of the S-Series range of Bubble Jet Printers launched in SA in May this year, Canon South Africa is pleased to announce the introduction of four new models to the range. The introduction of the new models increases Canon`s already extensive range of Bubble Jet Printers and three of the four new models are Single Ink printers.
The first new model is the S300 home printer, which is able to produce super-fast print speeds via a combination of a 704-nozzle print head and bi-directional printing, based on the paper feed system used in Canon`s copier products. The S300 is capable of 11 A4 ppm (pages per minute) in mono and 7.5ppm in colour. The high-density print head controls the ink droplets precisely to achieve a printing resolution of 2400 x 1200 dpi.
The Single Ink S500 has the ability to produce 12ppm in mono and 8ppm in colour, making it an ideal choice for fast action offices and extreme power users. Relay paper feeding ensures optimum speed and Canon`s advanced technologies such as Microfine Droplet Technology and High Colour Inks allows for images and text that are sharper and more precise than ever before.
Canon`s popular S600 is being replaced with the S630, a faster machine that delivers 17ppm in mono and 12ppm in colour. Single Ink technology saves the user money and true 2400 x 1200 dpi resolution means up to 2.88 million dots of ink can now be fired onto the paper. The S630 offers more image definition, making it the first choice for discerning professional users.
High print quality and the ability to print a full bleed A3 document are just two of the more outstanding features one will find on Canon`s new Bubble Jet S6300. The S6300 produces true 2400 x 1200 dpi resolution and with the ability to print up to 17 A4 ppm in mono and 12ppm in colour, the S6300 can handle a serious workload.
All of the new models are able to support Windows 95/98, Windows Millenium Edition, Windows 2000, Windows XP as well as Mac OS. Canon`s High Colour Inks, available in each model, combined with Canon`s Photo Paper Pro (PR-101) will allow the user to produce excellent print quality and a print that is guaranteed light fast for a period of 25 years (subject to storage and display conditions).
"The S-Series has literally taken off in SA," says Jennifer Gruwell, Product Manager for Printers and Scanners at Canon SA, "and we expect the new models to maintain the momentum in sales of the S-Series printers."
