Canon intros compact document scanner
According to Canon, the DR-C125 scanner improves information accessibility, management, and collaboration and is useful for a variety of office environments, including but not limited to financial offices, healthcare facilities, legal offices, and government agencies.
The flexibility and high-quality images of the DR-C125 scanner make converting and capturing paper-based documents to digital format a paper-saving option for businesses, states Business Wire.
Delivering colour, black-and-white and greyscale scan speeds of up to 25 pages-per-minute and 50 images per minute, the DR-C125 scanner can scan both sides of a document in a single pass. It can reliably handle a wide variety of document types, including long documents up to 118 inches in length, for example, medical records such as electrocardiograms.
It can also improve collaboration by conveniently routing scanned images directly to cloud applications such as Evernote and Microsoft SharePoint. CaptureOnTouch can automatically convert scanned images into PDF/A format, as well as Microsoft PowerPoint format.
The Canon DR-C125 scanner is also bundled with Windows ISIS/TWAIN drivers and a Mac TWAIN driver - industry-standard interfaces for seamlessly linking applications and scanners-for easy integration with third-party Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software.
Jim Rosetta, VP and GM, Imaging Systems Group, Canon US, says: “The combination of small size and ease of use makes the DR-C125 document scanner the ideal choice for our customers looking for general purpose distributed scanning solutions,” reveals FNN Online.
