Canon looks to BlueArc

technology agency, announced it has been engaged by Canon to redevelop and design its corporate intranet, PRWire reports. Based on the award-winning Sitecore Content Management System (CMS) platform, the intranet will provide high-quality management and communications to employees across Canon Australia and Canon New Zealand.

Challenged by the aging and unsupported technologies of its existing intranet, Canon sought a replacement for this key infrastructure, which is used as a major communication tool and to a number of critical business activities.

Following a competitive and lengthy tender process by national , financial services and retirement living organisation, Australian Unity, BlueArc has been appointed to design, build and implement an entirely new look and feel for the company's Web presence, NewsMaker says. BlueArc is in the design phase, and the agency will be working to deliver increased functionality and efficiency while ensuring a richer, more engaging user experience.

Tahir Tanveer, group executive, business technology, Australian Unity, comments: “Improving the way clients and stakeholders engage with us online is a key business objective and vital to Australian Unity's continued success. The team at BlueArc is committed to helping us achieve this outcome, and we are confident that our partnership will hold us in good stead now and into the future as we embark on a best-in-class digital offering.”

To round out the new business wins and in a competitive RFP process, BlueArc will be working with Mirvac Hotels & Resorts to deliver its new Web site, rmUmBRELLA
