Canon supports Apple's Airprint
However, three existing printers are getting AirPrint compatibility with new firmware.
This marks the first non-HP option for AirPrint. Previously, users had the choose from HP laser printers or HP all-in-ones or HP photo printers, according to Techcrunch.
Now, the PIXMA MG8220, MG6220 or MG5320 all support wireless iOS printing.
AirPrint allows users to wirelessly print photos, e-mails, Web pages and other documents, without the need to install device drivers, saving time and making for a seamless user experience, says Business Wire.
The majority of Canon PIXMA inkjet printers launched from this point forward will support AirPrint. AirPrint works with iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPod Touch (third generation and later) using iOS 4.2 or later.
