Canon Thailand plans to set up a new business unit providing consulting services and turnkey solutions to corporate clients in the installation of office machines, states The Nation.

Warin Tantipongpanich, senior director and GM for consumer imaging and information at Canon marketing (Thailand), has unveiled the 'Proven...Canon, it works - success that can be proven' campaign with a breakthrough service that allows offices to customise their automation.

The campaign is aimed at helping business operators reduce costs, increase their competitive edge and enable their business to run smoothly and effortlessly.

Samsung unveils workgroup printer

Samsung Electronics America has introduced the CLP-770ND, a colour laser network-ready/duplex printer for medium to corporate-size workplaces, says Earth Times.

With duplex printing, large volume output and low printing cost per page, the CLP-770ND is available 16 June through Samsung's network of authorised and dealers.

“The Samsung CLP-770ND is a professional-grade colour laser printer that guarantees optimum quality and performance,” said JH Kim, president of the IT division, Samsung Electronics America.

Kyocera promotes managed print services

Kyocera Mita America has kicked off a programme aiming to transform channel into the managed print services market, reports MSP Mentor.

It is part of a trend across the printer industry, where a new association and a recent conference showed growing interest in managed print services.

Photizo Group, a managed print services organisation, says roughly 140 people attended its recent Managed Print Services conference in San Antonio, Texas.
