Canon unleashes two photo printers

Canon has introduced two new photo printers, the multi-function PIXMA MG5320 Wireless Photo All-In-One and the single-function PIXMA iP4920 Photo Inkjet Printer, reports Macworld.

Both are targeted to the small office and home markets. The models also feature upgrades to Canon's Easy-PhotoPrint EX and Full HD Movie Print software.

In addition, Canon claims the printers will also sport “advanced media handling options such as auto duplex printing, which helps conserve your paper supply and a two-way paper feed that can help reduce the amount of time it takes to complete a project”, writes Vr-zone.

The printer will ship with updated versions Canon's Easy PrintPhoto EX and Full HD Movie Print software.

The former allows users to “bring creativity to a whole new level” by now featuring support for quirky (and possibly funky) Fun Filter Eddects such as Fish Eye, Miniature and Toy Camera, while the latter allows for the printing for clearer images of image frames captured from “compatible HD Canon EOS and PowerShot Digital Cameras”.

The popularity and lowered cost of multifunction printers means we don't see as many single-function photo printers, but Canon knows that some consumers just want an output device for light-duty snapshot prints, says Cnet News.
