Business information delivery specialist Captaris awarded local distributor Amvia the coveted partner of the year award, at its international partner conference held in Cape Town last week.
Specialist distributor Amvia has been closely aligned to the vendor company for a number of years and services an extensive local reseller base providing up to the minute product information, training, and where necessary, hands-on technical advice and support.
Says Managing Director of Amvia, Kevin Hurwitz: "This is indeed an honour for us here in SA. Captaris is a well-known brand the world through, and for a South African company to be named partner of the year, highlights how we as a country are willing to embrace and make more effective use of technology."
The company, which is better known for its RightFax technology, has over the last two years been on a drive to extend its solutions offerings and its business strategy to encompass the entire business information delivery or BID spectrum. In a nutshell, should there be a form of communication or information passed in and out of the boundaries of an organisation, Captaris will provide a solution to harness this as reusable information.
"At Amvia we have also announced at the partner conference our continued commitment to Captaris, and that we ourselves are gearing up to provide the entire suite of Captaris offerings to the market. This will include the new addition to its family, namely Workflow for the rapid deployment of business process information.
"Partners are critical to our company, and the support we get from these partners is key to our success. Our relationship with Captaris is a good example of how vendors and distributors should work together, we are the company`s eyes and ears in the local market and this award is testimony to the fact that we are getting the recipe right," states Hurwitz.
In his keynote address at the partner conference, President and CEO of Captaris, Davis Anastasi said that if all of the partners on a global scale performed as well as Amvia, the company would be triple its size. He also commended Amvia for its performance and said he looked forward to an ongoing healthy relationship with the company.
