Aegis and STC have almost the same stakes in Contact Centre Company. STC will hold a 50% stake plus one share, and Aegis the rest.

Public warned of call centre scam

The owner of Sneakers Computers in Courtenay, UK, is warning the public about a scam that is likely coming from a call centre in India purporting to be from Microsoft, states Comox Valley Record.

The caller is telling people their version of Windows is reporting a computer virus, which can be cleaned out by downloading a program.

“Of course it's going to be a scam, Microsoft doesn't do this,” Richard Boyle of Microsoft says. “What's different about this is we are actually being called. That's what gives it a little more weight, other than the odd anonymous e-mails that might pop up on your screen and they will talk you through the process.”
