Graphics manufacturer Gainward has announced that it has extended the warranty on its CARDEXpert Geforce range of graphics cards from one to three years. The CARDEXpert range is distributed exclusively in SA by local distributor, Axiz.
According to Graeme Frielick, graphics product manager at Axiz, the improvement in warranty status for the high-end cards is as a result of Gainward`s premier partner status with chipset supplier, nVidia.
"Gainward is a leading-edge designer of graphics cards, which affords it the opportunity to be at the forefront of VGA technologies," he says. "With their close relationships with chipset designers such as nVidia, they can also now pass on other benefits such as these extended warranties."
Frielick points out that the extension of the warranty now provides additional peace of mind for users. As it is often the case early technology adopters who buy high-end cards when they first become available in order to stay at the cutting-edge of technology, can be assured that their investment is now safe for a longer period of time.
Gainward was founded in 1984 and is now a leading manufacturer of video graphic accelerators for the consumer and professional markets, with offices in the US, Germany, Hong Kong, China, and a head office in Taipei. Gainward`s product line includes VGA and MPEG cards, video capture cards, and TV tuners.
