CCN signs BEE deal

Contact centre outsourcing company Call Centre Nucleus (CCN) has entered into a black empowerment transaction with Welcome Msomi`s Ziphathe Empowerment .

The Ziphathe Empowerment Network (ZEN) has acquired a 26% stake in CCN and Msomi, who is ZEN chairman, has been appointed chairman of CCN.

ZEN has a broad-based shareholders` consortium including the King Goodwill Cultural Development Trust, Amaximba Development Trust, Mhinga Development Trust and the Thembalethu Women Trust.

"The partnership agreement with Ziphathe is an extremely exciting development for CCN," says CCN MD John Alberti.

"It will provide CCN with access to alternate recruitment channels within previously disadvantaged communities with the possibility of providing career and skill development opportunities for many people."
