Canadian network security company, TimeStep Corporation, an affiliate of Newbridge Networks, has appointed local computer security and data protection specialist Corporate Defence Solutions (CDS), a distributor of the PERMIT Enterprise range in South Africa.
Using IPSec technology, the PERMIT Enterprise secure VPN solution enables business users to exchange information over shared corporate and public networks, such as the Internet, with full security and privacy.
Corporations and service providers can deploy PERMIT Enterprise into existing networks without affecting network performance or end-users, and its scalable architecture enables the creation and management of multiple secure VPNs.
"No one else in the industry is able to deploy large-scale installations with the same level of performance and reliability as PERMIT," says Hennie Bosman, MD of CDS. "TimeStep have developed the best VPN technology available on the market today," he adds.
Other products in the CDS armoury include Elron Internet Manager, Bandwidth Optimizer, and Firewall for NT.
CDS services include encryption, Internet security, global network security, security audits, computer fraud investigation and virus removal. The company also offers user training and remote and on-site post-installation user support.
