On 8 April 2025, SOLIDitech proudly celebrated 20 years of powering business automation for ISPs and enterprises across South Africa and beyond. What started as a bold idea between two founders has grown into a thriving software company with over 130 team members, a global footprint and a track record of innovation, resilience and trusted client partnerships.
Reaching the 20-year mark is a rare achievement – only one in four companies make it this far – and SOLIDitech couldn’t be prouder of the journey it has taken and the people who have made it possible.
Reflecting on two decades of progress
In the lead-up to the anniversary, SOLIDitech hosted a company-wide update meeting to reflect on the company's evolution and share what’s next. The session covered:
- Key projects and milestones from the past six months (and a few throwbacks to the early days of server crash recoveries and big dreams).
- SOLIDitech's solid financial standing, built through sustainable growth and long-term partnerships.
- The strategic roadmap for the next 12 months, focused on automation, scalability and customer experience.
This meeting reinforced what’s always been true: SOLIDitech is more than just software – it's a community of people building something that lasts.
A company-wide celebration
To mark the occasion, SOLIDitech brought together team members from across the country (and the globe) for a multi-location celebration. Events were held in:
- Cape Town, at the beautiful Westlake Golf Course.
- Johannesburg, with a team lunch at Dosa Hut.
- And for the company's remote employees, SOLIDitech provided food vouchers and hosted a virtual toast so everyone could join the festivities.
Before the local celebrations kicked off, the entire team came together for a virtual call – featuring heartfelt speeches, shared memories and the presentation of two very special 20-year service awards to co-founders Manuel De Jesus and Charles Musto.
Their reflections reminded us that while technology has changed, SOLIDitech's values haven’t: teamwork, customer commitment and a belief in doing things differently are what have guided SOLID through every challenge and success.
Honouring our people
At the heart of SOLID’s success is our team – the engineers, support staff, project managers, marketers, and leaders who bring our vision to life every day.
As part of the celebrations, we recognised our long-serving team members, including those who’ve been with us for 10+ years. Their loyalty, passion, and deep knowledge form the backbone of our product and our customer experience.
A highlight? The surprise moment when Charles’s handwriting was turned into a custom AI font, used to leave each guest a personal thank-you note. A small gesture with a big heart.
A Glimpse at the celebrations
In Cape Town, the rain came down (of course), but the smiles were brighter than ever. From welcome drinks to three-course meals, personalised gifts, and an iconic group photo on the balcony – it was a joyful, well-deserved celebration.
In Johannesburg, the team gathered around shared starters, a mountain of mains, and plenty of laughter. Dessert came with a side of classic SOLID humour (ask them about the Kulfi joke).
For our remote team, it was no less special. With food vouchers in hand and a seat at the virtual table, every SOLIDstar was included in the moment – proving once again that culture isn’t tied to location.

As we celebrate this milestone, we’re also looking ahead. Our commitment remains the same: to empower ISPs and enterprises with automated, scalable, and secure software that simplifies complexity and delivers results.
