Cell C has introduced a Recharge Rewards initiative for prepaid subscribers.

The extra rewards will expire after a calendar week and will be capped at 1 000MB of data and 100 free minutes. As such, customers are advised to use up their rewards before Sunday midnight, irrespective of when the extra value was loaded.
Recharge Rewards became available for customers on Friday.
The mobile operator says it is also offering a R25 airtime “welcome bonus” to new customers who subscribe with Cell C before 15 July.
Cell C says close to 97% of its customer base completed the RICA process before the 30 June deadline.
Cell C CEO Lars Reichelt says about 0.01% of contract customers and 3% of prepaid customers did not register their SIM cards in time.
Those who have been disconnected have a grace period of 120 days from the deadline to reactivate their cut-off Cell C SIM cards, before they will lose their numbers.
