Cellular auto-pay service debuts

Fuzion Mobile, an auto-pay, self-service cellular membership that works on any SIM-enabled phone, has been introduced in the US, writes PR Log.

The Fuzion Mobile service runs on a nationwide Airvoice network and there are no roaming charges.

Subscribers can keep their phone and phone number. If an upgrade is desired, the top smartphones work and can be bought right from fuzionmobile.com's store.

Online self-service insurance in demand

The Web is increasingly the average consumer's preferred place to shop for virtually any product or service including auto, home and life insurance, states Insurance Networking News.

Customers use the Web and mobile Web for sales and an increasing amount want to use it for customer service such as paying bills, showing proof of insurance and managing policies.

While adoption of online customer self-service in insurance has not been as fast as other industries, it is increasing and carriers of all sizes need to be prepared.

Hi-tech advances coming

In future, consumers walking into their local bog box store could have their every move, glance and gesture watched and recorded by a computer's robotic eye, which will follow shoppers as they peruse aisles, stop to look at product displays and pick up items, writes The Canadian Press.

This technology is not typically found in Canadian stores, but it could be coming soon as the retail world embraces a wide range of technologies designed to measure consumer trends and boost sales.

And although the technology is primarily being developed to increase profits, the innovations could make the consumer experience a little more efficient and convenient too.
