Central government auditors, National Audit Office of the UK choose Applix TM1

Johannesburg, 27 May 2005

MCI Consultants, the leading distributor for Applix`s TM1 product in SA, today announced that the National Audit Office (NAO), whose role is to report to the British Parliament on the spending of central government money, has chosen Applix`s TM1 software solution.

The NAO`s BPM contract was awarded to Anite Public Sector, a leading supplier to the government`s S-CAT procurement framework. Having been presented a number of solutions, the NAO chose the Applix TM1 solution as the best product available to address its specific requirements.

Announcing the contract, Anite`s Business Development Director Lee Hendrick, explained: "As a single platform for streamlined planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis, TM1 is the solution of choice for organisations wanting to gain a clearer vision of the future or make better informed decisions that enable them to drive bottom line performance."

"Applix TM1`s real-time analytic capability is ideal for the NAO who need to monitor the current performance of each audit project and provide Parliament with authoritative guidance on the performance of government departments," continued Hendrick. "The solution provides the opportunity to generate reports presented in an accurate and consistent manner, using data from multiple sources in different formats."
