Due to an ever-increasing reseller base in the area, CentraTel (Pty) Ltd has opened up a Cape Town office. CentraTel, the largest multi-vendor telecommunications distributor in sub-Saharan Africa, is made up of five companies, namely CentraFin, CentraCell, CentraVoice, CentraTec and Masakhe.
"The call centre environment has grown phenomenally in Cape Town over the past few years and we have experienced an increased demand from local businesses to have a dedicated technical and pre-sales presence in the area," said Michael Aitken, group managing director.
Since opening a couple of months ago, and with only a staff complement of five, the office is already contributing 20% towards the company`s total revenue stream.
The company`s Durban office is scheduled to open in October.
