Banff and Buchan College has introduced a range of IT courses for both businesses and individuals from its new training centre in Scotland, says The Press and Journal.
The move is part of an Industry Alliance for Jobs programme, which aims to provide the latest IT training to 100 000 Scots by 2010.
The college is offering the latest training resources from some of the world's most widely-recognised IT providers, including Microsoft, Cisco, Randstad, Oracle and learndirect scotland.
Kenyan children receive e-learning
Kenya is now transitioning from traditional teaching methods to e-learning through the integration of ICT and education for primary and secondary school pupils, with the help of Intel, reports Capital Business.
“Intel wants to extend the reach and impact of teachers. We believe this initiative will change the way teachers plan and execute their class lessons,” says Andre Christian, Intel education manager for Sub-Saharan and South Africa.
There are 250 000 teachers in Kenya, thus online material will be provided to orientate them in the training programme being facilitated by the Kenya Institute of Education and Intel.
