Channel Intelligence to provide shopping feed tech
360i, a search engine-marketing firm, has finalised a deal with Web commerce firm Channel Intelligence to provide shopping feed technology to its search-marketing clients Mediapost.com announced.
According to Dave Williams, 360i`s chief strategist, the deal is aimed at building out 360i`s retail channel for clients and allowing them to use Channel Intelligence`s optimisation and trafficking technology to place advertisements in the top search engines.
"We see the shopping feed space as where search engine auction formats were four or five or six years ago and we really see that space exploding, especially within the retail area," he said.
New print solutions for stores
The Oki Data printers and AccessVia software, a new advancement in retail technology, has been adopted by Sam Ash Music Stores in the Chicago area, reports Suntimes.com.
The printers enable store managers to print signs using the latest pricing, catalogue, inventory and advertising data, said David Ash, COO of one of the privately owned stores.
"Retailers struggle with keeping salespeople on the floor when they must keep prices updated and new inventory on the shelves. Retailers that outsource sign-printing jobs cannot change the prices on the fly, and the signs look different from store to store, said Terry Cruikshank, industry-marketing consultant for retail at Oki Data Americas.
