Choice Technologies has entered into a strategic nationwide partnership with Integrated Logistics Management (ILM), which was recently appointed the sole South African distributor for US-based Savi Technology, a global provider of supply chain asset management and logistics collaboration solutions.
Semela Tseka, managing director at Choice Technologies -- a key black empowered high-end networking solutions provider represented across SA -- says the partnership with ILM, a leading systems integration provider, will enable his company to take Savi`s award-winning automated identification technologies, which carry the Apollo Tag, to the local market.
He also believes it will reinforce the three companies` focus on management of transportable conveyances and assets.
"This synergistic alliance aims to accelerate technological advancement and IT adoption to enhance efficiency in SA`s logistics and transportation industry via a win-win business relationship," he says. "Taking the lead in driving IT best practices, Choice will work closely with ILM and Savi to co-develop South African specific solutions."
Tseka also reports that the three companies will work closely to train and recruit local network technicians and support staff from the vast pool of labour in the communities of SA, bolstered by Savi`s contribution of additional resources to internal training, local skills development and graduate development programmes.
"ILM is focused on Southern Africa`s logistics and transportation industries," says Dereck Davidson, CEO of ILM. "By partnering with Choice Technologies and Savi Technology, we are able to use the best available technology to create solutions for our customers."
