IT training services provider Torque IT has been awarded Cisco Collaboration Architecture Specialisation status, the highest level of accreditation possible for a Cisco Learning Partner.
Torque IT is now the only South African-owned Cisco Specialised Learning Partner that meets the three architectural education specialisations of borderless networking, collaboration and data centre virtualisation.
Technical director Carl Raath said that since Torque IT acquired Cisco Learning Partner Status 15 years ago, it has given more than 3 500 scheduled courses across 26 countries, and trained in excess of 30 000 satisfied delegates. “We consider authorised Cisco training to be an integral part of any Cisco solution. Whether your desired outcome is to acquire the skills necessary to understand, design, implement, support, or manage a particular solution or to achieve Cisco certification, we will provide you with a suitable training solution,” he said.
“We are able to meet with you and do a needs analysis of your business requirements and desired outcomes, build a programme for your engineers and facilitate training at our state-of-the art facilities. The fact that we are a local company also means that our prices are competitive, that there are no foreign exchange shocks when settling invoices and that our training programmes are designed within a South African context,” he said.
“Additionally, we are rated a level 2 contributor to broad-based black economic empowerment, meaning you can claim 125% of your spend with us in your own BEE credentials,” he said.
Amal Khella, business development manager of Cisco's worldwide learning partner channel - EMEA, said this is a monumental accomplishment for Torque IT, reflecting its exceptional depth, breadth and expertise. “With this new specialisation, Torque IT is recognised as having rigorous standards for educational competency, service, customer satisfaction and investment in Cisco technologies that will prepare the next generation of IT industry professionals in Cisco Architectural solutions,” she said.
