Cisco eyes Indian SMEs

As part of its training/sensitisation programme, Cisco Systems India is planning to reach out to SMEs in commercially developing certain locations of eastern India through its Network on Wheels (NOW) Van programme, reports Business Standard.

The NOW Van is a mobile showcase of customised Cisco networking solutions, including technologies such as security, wireless and unified Internet protocol communications.

This is aimed at helping Indian SMEs leverage the power of networking technology for business growth.

Intelliden, a provider of intelligent networking solutions that enable organisations to control, manage and scale their networks, has appointed Gary Testa as VP of worldwide sales, states Sourcewire.

Reporting to Alan Black, president and CEO of Intelliden, Testa will be responsible for leading the company's thrust for network discovery, configuration management, compliance and provisioning solutions into communications service providers and other network-driven organisations.

The company hopes his international sales background will spearhead Intelliden's expansion beyond the Americas and Europe into the Asia-Pacific region and other emerging markets.
