Cisco eyes Indian SMEs

As part of its training/sensitisation programme, Cisco Systems India is planning to reach out to SMEs in commercially developing certain locations of eastern India through its on Wheels (NOW) Van programme, reports Business Standard.

The NOW Van is a mobile showcase of customised Cisco solutions, including technologies such as , wireless and unified Internet protocol communications.

This is aimed at helping Indian SMEs leverage the power of networking technology for business growth.

Quantenna releases wireless chipsets

Quantenna Communications, a developer of silicon for intelligent wireless networking, has introduced the world's first fully integrated 802.11n chipsets with 4x4 Mimo and transmit beamforming, designed to deliver guaranteed wireless bandwidth anywhere, says Market Watch.

The Quantenna chipsets overcome interference and dead zones, enabling consumers and carriers to reliably deploy wireless HD, HDTV and IPTV services to any point in the home over a plug-and-play wireless network.

Quantenna designed its chipsets to meet the demands of the rapidly growing wireless LAN market.

Intelliden appoints Sales VP

Intelliden, a provider of intelligent networking solutions that enable organisations to control, manage and scale their networks, has appointed Gary Testa as VP of worldwide sales, states Sourcewire.

Reporting to Alan Black, president and CEO of Intelliden, Testa will be responsible for leading the company's thrust for network discovery, configuration management, compliance and provisioning solutions into communications service providers and other network-driven organisations.

The company hopes his international sales background will spearhead Intelliden's expansion beyond the Americas and Europe into the Asia-Pacific region and other emerging markets.
