access points, routers, switches and managed offerings, to meet the growing demand from small firms for and mobile technologies, V3.co.uk reports.

The firm explained that, as the consumerisation trend is being embraced by firms of all sizes, there is an increased requirement for equipment and services that can help enable and manage the benefits it brings.

According to eChannel Line, the overarching themes behind these new releases is to allow SMEs to get the most out of smartphones, tablets, and cloud applications and services.

"The role of the network is increasing as it relates to productivity increases, with mobility and cloud being the two key mega-trends here," says Kerry McDonough, director, US small business sales at Cisco.

"We have expanded products in the three areas of routing, switching and wireless access points, all built around service and support capability."

Cloud adoption among SMEs in 2011 was at 72% and is expected to grow to 98% by 2015, according to Dave Tang, director of strategy and communications at Cisco, TechWeek Europe writes.

At the same time, over the next two years, SMEs will spend about $50 billion on cloud services.
