Cisco targets SMEs
Cisco has unveiled a new small business partner profitability drive aimed at resellers operating in the SME space, reports ChannelWeb.
The networking giant is also set to expand its small business product portfolio with new network security and collaboration technologies, and is extending its 0% financing offer to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across Europe, Canada and the US to encourage spend.
According to Cisco, the combined strategy, released on a global basis, will help firms with fewer than 100 employees gain a competitive advantage and help the channel partners that serve them to build profitable and sustainable small business practices.
AT&T, Intel collaborate on SME services
AT&T and Intel are offering a virtual helpdesk for remotely maintaining and administrating PCs and laptops in small offices, states EE Herald.
AT&T Tech Support 360SM is a virtual helpdesk providing a live, permission-based remote technical service for SMEs and is expected to support Intel vPro technology starting in the first half of 2010.
This is the first such service in the telecom industry and already used by more than 100 000 other SMEs in the US.
AMD releases Business Class
AMD has released AMD Business Class technology for desktop PCs designed for SMEs, large enterprises, and the public sector, according to ITVoir.
The new 2009 AMD Business Class Desktop Platform, offered as part of AMD Business Class technology, delivers the benefits of the latest AMD CPUs, chipsets and graphics hardware to business users.
AMD Business Class technology, including platforms configured with AMD Phenom II and AMD Athlon II 45nm processors, AMD 7-Series chipsets and ATI Radeon HD 4000 series graphics processors, offers advanced visual productivity, and support for essential manageability, security and virtualisation features.
