Citrix dazzles business

Citrix revealed its Dazzle online storefront at its Synergy 2009 event in Las Vegas. Dazzle is an application that allows users to buy business products based on the application's name, description or type, says eCommerce Times.

Dazzle will work as a companion to Citrix Delivery Centre products, which include Citrix XenApp and Citrix XenDesktop.

Gordon Haff, senior analyst/IT advisor for Illuminata, says: "It's a form of Web 2.0 meets enterprise IT and by making it easier to use products like XenApp, it makes them useful for different situations."

Gooroo drives business app suite

SME software-as-a-service (SaaS) vendor Gooroo Software is on the hunt for resellers following the introduction of its online business management suite, states Channel Pro.

The company is promising resellers strong margins, starting at 28% and rising to 40%, alongside recurring revenues as customers pay a monthly fee per user, with no extra hardware or support costs.

Says Dean Miles, GM of Gooroo Software: “We recently surveyed small businesses' plans to adopt SaaS and solutions, and there is real demand out there. SMEs want the same tools and benefits that are available to enterprises, without the drain on costs and time.”

The Oracle Academy provides a complete portfolio of software, curriculum, hosted technology, faculty training, and certification resources to higher education institutions.
