Citrix named 2005 Global ISV Partner of the Year by Microsoft

Citrix`s commitment to technology and marketing collaboration along with global sales cooperation secure the award for the second time in three years
Johannesburg, 26 Jul 2005

Citrix Systems, the global leader in access infrastructure solutions, today announced that it has received Microsoft`s Global Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Partner of the Year Award for 2005.

The award, received on 9 July in Minneapolis, USA, at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, recognises Citrix`s commitment to delivering solutions through the Microsoft Windows platform to meet customer needs and market demand. In the three years that Microsoft has bestowed this award, Citrix won the top honour in 2003 and 2005, and was a finalist in 2004.

"With 98% of our business on Windows and with our reach to more than 6 200 channel and alliance joint partners in more than 100 countries, we are honoured and pleased to receive this reward again," said David Prosser, channel manager for Citrix Southern Africa.

"Together, Citrix South Africa and Microsoft South Africa have delivered world-class solutions to many South African organisations. This award underlines our legacy of success together and sets the tone for greater things to come."

The Microsoft Global ISV Partner Award recognises the partner that has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the delivery of Microsoft solutions to the companies` joint customers in the past year. Citrix won this award by developing solutions that have significantly affected its enterprise customers` business.

"The past year has been unparalleled in terms of the level of innovative solutions Microsoft partners have developed and delivered to our mutual customers," said Bradley Hopkinson, small and mid-market solutions and partner group (SMS&P) at Microsoft South Africa. "Those at Citrix have set themselves apart from an extremely competitive field, and we applaud them for this well-deserved victory. Their achievement is exemplary of the kind of vision that will help take us beyond the solutions of today to realise the full potential of technology in business."
