Citrix releases CloudGateway 2

Software-as-a-service (SaaS) and virtualisation giant Citrix has unveiled CloudGateway 2, Cloud Pro states.

The release comes almost seven months to the day since the unveiling of Cloud Gateway 1.0.

In response to the rising popularity of BYOD, CloudGateway 2 features Citrix's new groundbreaking MDX mobile technology.

According to CBR Online, the MDX technology will offer the CloudGateway a set of mobile app technologies enabling centralised management, security and control over native iOS, Android and HTML 5 apps across mobile devices.

New CloudGateway 2 release also adds integration with Citrix ShareFile, the company's cloud-based file sharing and sync service.

ShareFile accounts can be automatically provisioned and de-provisioned with CloudGateway when an employee is added to or removed from Active Directory.

Citrix Receiver and Gateways group VP and GM Sumit Dhawan says: “The powerful combination of CloudGateway, Citrix Receiver and ShareFile provides the missing piece in current solutions by allowing enterprises to support a mobile workforce while maintaining the right levels of security and control.”
