Citrix Systems South Africa, the global leader in access infrastructure solutions, recognised its local channel partners at an annual awards ceremony held at the Park Hyatt in Johannesburg on Thursday, 7 April 2005.
"The Citrix Advisor Awards ceremony provides us with the opportunity to recognise and thank all our channel partners for the value that they bring to Citrix Systems," said David Prosser, channels manager at Citrix Systems SA.
The companies that received awards this year include Eclipse Networks, Troye Computer Services, Siemens Business Services, Comztek and HP.
Eclipse Networks was awarded with the Highest Productivity award for its cross-regional work rate, engagement with Citrix in customer opportunities, the number of pilot sites executed in the year as well as its efficiency in dealing with customers.
Over the last year, Troye Computer Services has grown its Citrix business significantly by focusing on mid-market and upper mid-market opportunities. They have also expanded their solution offerings to include the Citrix Access Suite while reaching broader markets by partnering with other solution providers. For these achievements, Troye was recognised with the Highest Growth award.
For its 100% outsourced solution at the Department of Labour, Siemens Business Services was awarded the Largest Customer Win as well as Best Solution awards. The win sees Siemens providing utility computing services to all employees at the department, across a diverse national branch infrastructure.
Comztek was awarded the Best Marketing Campaign award for Citrix School. This Partner Training Programme, aimed at the Citrix Channel, delivered tutorials that covered introductions to Citrix, product training, methodologies and tools for executive engagements and financial justification. The successful campaign was embraced by Citrix`s partners and maintained a strong and loyal attendance throughout the six-month semester.
Last and certainly not least, HP was recognised with the Best Alliance Partner award for the strong marketing alliance that it shares with Citrix. In 2004, Citrix engaged in a joint operational efficiency campaign with HP, Microsoft and Intel. The programme, aimed at partners, showed how the joint solutions from each of the four vendors integrate to deliver adaptive IS solutions at a lower cost while freeing up budgets to support business growth initiatives.
To conclude the ceremony, Citrix presented Workgroup Distribution with the award that it received at Citrix`s EMEA Distribution Conference in Cannes, in October 2004. Workgroup won the award for its highest year-on-year growth across the UK, Ireland and South African regions.
"We would like to take this opportunity to once again thank our channel partners for their dedication and support throughout the past year. We look forward to another successful year with our partners and ensure that we will provide the highest quality of service and solutions to our customers," concludes Prosser.
