Citrix has rolled out the first of several new technical certifications for its ecosystem.

The company says, by taking a solution-based approach, these certifications provide with the breadth of skills required to design, deploy and support holistic Citrix solutions. From a strategic standpoint, it says, the solution approach aligns with the evolution of Citrix technologies as well as the top IT trends and market demands, including mobile, cloud, collaboration and virtualisation.

From a practical perspective, the certifications are simplified and streamlined to make it easier for partners to develop their skills with speed and efficiency, it adds.

"Our redesigned certification programme is part of Citrix Services' continued commitment to empower people and teams with the skills needed to quickly achieve their business and technology objectives," says Simon McCullough, channel manager at Citrix SA.

"These new certifications have been built from the ground up to enable our global community of partners and customers to realise the benefits of the latest Citrix solutions. We've simplified them as part of our focus on enabling and recognising the right skills to accelerate partner business and ensure customer success together."

According to Citrix, the certifications further expand partners' expertise in Citrix, with an increase in the breadth of valuable skills represented. At the same time, the company adds, the new certification structure has been significantly concentrated, requiring fewer examinations and less time out of the field to achieve.

McCullough explains that the simplified certification process makes it easier for partners to build and validate technical skills around the latest Citrix solutions, establish competitive differentiation, expand into new markets, find new revenue opportunities within existing customer organisations and increase deal sizes.

Additionally, they help partners comply with updated requirements as per the new Citrix Solution Advisor programme announced in May.

At all levels of certification, IT professionals will gain the knowledge and skills required to support the entire solution set, through various phases of the project life cycle, Citrix explains, adding that partners with more certified staff are enabled to be more strategic and successful, and achieve greater customer satisfaction and loyalty.
